Marvy Adventures

For those of you who thought Dave was on "crafting retirement"

You'll be happy to know that..........

HE's B A C K ! lol

But, these apperances are limited and you

can most likely spot him hangin' out at Marvy Uchida

We recently went to Anaheim, CA

to help Dave teach a class for Marvy

 

The classroom was about 6 times the size

of the classroom we were normally accustomed to :)

Filled with about 100 ready to craft ladies

 

Look how proud they are of their masterpiece!

 

 

It was wonderful having all these ladies come to class!

Afterwards everyone recieved a Le Plume Certified Certificate

and a lil LOVE from Dave :)

 

The last day before everyone left

The sweetest "BIG Boss Man" at Marvy (Steve)

to us all out for a treat at Buca di Beppo

Everyone left very happy & about 10 lbs. heavier!

Zentangle

Today my friend Krista taught me how to
"Zentangle" & I'm so proud of my finished project! I have crafting ADD so I'm always
extra happy when I finish a project ;)
It looks super hard & complicated but I swear it's not that hard just expect a couple fingers to cramp ;)
All you need is some paper,pencil,eraser, & micron pens!

What did you guys do on world card making day? ;)

 

Back from Creative Escape

Seriously Creative Escape was one of my MOST favorite crafting experiences

I'm so glad I had the chance to attend with my cousin Rosa

Scrapbooking on the Oasis

Gah! I can't wait to get my pictures from snapfish!

Luckily I caught their 50% off Memorial Day sale when I got back from vaca!

The Oasis had a SCRAPBOOKING room on board where they held classes!
How flippin amazing is that?!?!

I took a few classes on Sea days.
The classes included a small FREE kit that had a couple sheets of paper & sticker embellishments, they also had punches & die cuts available for use in the classroom.
They did offer a larger kit with more paper & sticker options that is their own limited edition kit specific to the ship made by Me & My Big Ideas ;) They had a few kits & themes to choose from priced at $3.99 & $9.99 ;)
I chose both the travel themed kits, although I wish they also offered an extra embellishment only kit too!

I got started on a couple layouts I promise to share as soon as my pics arrive! ;)

Got Crafty

I most definitely got my craft on this weekend!

I had a F A N T A B U L O U S time @ The Paper Doll House

This house is so unique & quirky :)

Here's the girls @ brunch this morning :)

I tried eggs benedicts for the first time Mary Kim is an AMAZING cook

I'd go back just for the food alone! 

  
I was VERY productive & completed the April, May & June calendars

5 Layouts & 5 Cards from KP's sketch 3 class

I'll spread the LO & card postings throughout the month

Lets start with my FAVE layout... the Sketch is from DAY 6 :)

Jens Stamp Camp

Sorry for the late Sunday posting :(

I seriously had like 10 loads of laundry that I could no longer ignore

and I'm still not done...after this post I have to go back to putting it all away

oy vey! :(

Friday night, I went to Jens house for Stamp Camp!

It's always good times stamping with the girlies

I wanted to share the cards we made with you :)

 

I love this Amo Los Corazones Stamp!

Did you know that Stampin Up will set aside $2.00

for every sale of this set for Haiti?!

We also used this new BIRD Punch

which I heard is the new MUST have :)

Here we did some 2 Step stamping

{which I haven't done in a while}

With the Vintage Vogue Clear Stamps

which BTW stamps wonderfully :)

 

This little birdie in the Cheep Talk set is too cute!

We used the Huffing technique to stamp the branch & leaves

Jen always packs our card kits in a cute lunch bag

and she always decorates it

this was our lunch bag on Friday

I stayed pretty late after to chit chat

Holiday Stuff

Whoa seriously....where has time gone?

Is it just me or does it seem like everything is moving so fast?

I had good intentions about doing a card a day for this month as well as a December Daily

and although I've made stuff & taken Dec Daily pics

I have yet to share a Holiday card....and I do not have a DEC daily album made...

so this post is dedicated to HOLIDAY Hoopla shanannigans that's happening in ivyPINK land :)

Lets start with the box of holiday mess I had to sort through :)

I've definitely outgrown this box.....

because I have 12 x 12  holiday paper scattered all over the place

BUT its been convenient to have a "holiday" box because I've forgotten about some of the

embellishment stuff I had to begin with.

First card I have up to share is this little cutie

I LOVE Cosmo Crickets stuff :)

Seriously I'm such a new FAN :)

The Jolly by Golly line is adorable

:)I think ALL of CC's "ELEMENTS" paper

is such a fun quick way to make cards & gift tags and just add a little something to your pages or cards

I've FINALLY put my Loopy Punch to use :)

The Red Polka Dot file folder is from DOLLAR TREE :)

It was 25 for $1.00 what a bargain!!!!

It also came in B&W and Blue&W and B&W Gingham

I used almost all my B&W ones to make my TY cards

This past Saturday was the Holiday Renegade Fair

It was super PACKED! Crazy Busy :(

Anyway I came home from RCF very INSPIRED :)

and I made these cards

I used my Cricut for.....EVERYTHING pretty much :)

Im so hooked on that darn thing now :)

The FROST card kits are by My Minds Eye

This kit is from a while back

I just added some DC floss to the buttons

and put a LOT of BLINg to make look extra special :)

So 20 cards while watching Desperate housewives & Brothers & sisters Finale...

pretty good if I'd say so myself :) LOL

Oh I also made this GC holder for a class at Stampology

I used a CD tin and covered it with pieces that I cut out with my Cricut (Mini Mongrams)

and also this cute little matchbook treat box (tags,Bags & Boxes)

Im currently working on a garland right now to put up at work

(I hope I finish it by Tues)

I'll make sure I post a pic when I finish it :)

so thats all for now

I cant believe it's 2:16am already! Yikes I have work tomorrow

seeeeee times zooming by I tell ya :)

Stampology Events

Last Thursday was my Hero Arts Class at Stampology
which went VERY well.
I was so glad to see the ladies :)




It was lucky that we got a very special visit from our favorite
Little Bijon Frise cuties Bijoux & Bo



They are so friendly and adorable I want one so bad :(



Then the next day... Friday was the Stampology
customer appreciation party :)
Of course Dave & Sue had yummy food served as always.





We even had a bartender! ;)

Hero Arts Holiday '09 stamps

{sorry...NO clue why the other Hero post looks so weird...Im re-doing it}

The little birdie in this set is soooooo cute!!!



& I totally card lifted the LO from the back of the packaging for card #3
This Seasons Greetings Tree stamp  is sooo fun



You cant really tell but
I used a Gelly Roll Stardust Clear pen on the tree and
it added just the right touch!
I don't know what I'd do without that PEN!!!



and for the last card its fall/thanksgiving themed & were using this
Season of Giving set



I used Copics to color the leaves and Prisma pencils to shade it in
there's also some stardust on the leaves :)
we're low on BLINGS at the store
so I have to use the next best thing
heehee :)



I will try to take a pic of the cards
& post more details after the class.

The class is SOLD OUT
but sometimes Dave does a second run if there's a lot of requests
so if your interested just shoot him an email
or call the store :)

Great Weekend

Happy Chinese New Year!
Its the year of the OX
(Which is my moms zodiac)


This weekend was so much fun :)
I went to my friend Karens crop at Eaglewood resorts
It was a Fri, Sat & Sun event but I only attended Saturday



Darlene, Jen, Denise, Krista & me :)
I didn't get much accomplished
I was working on cards for Stampologys Hero Arts class
