Expo

I went to the Scrapbook Expo yesterday morning

I saw a lot of scrapbooking peepz from Archivers

that I havent seen in such a long time

I havent gone to an Expo in over 3 years! Yikes :)

I Found my Hedgehog Paper from Sassfrass there woot woot! totally made my DAY :)

I got a ton of Scenic Route chipboards for $1.00

I love this one :)

and Melissa Frances booth was there and they had awesome Deals

I got these books for 3 for $5.00

and I have plans for this accordion this was $1.25

I also bought 10 pretty tags for $2.00 :)

I bought these awesome LABELS i'll take a pic when I get home I forgot who the company is BUT it was closing so the booth had everything for 50% off {good stuff}

Afterwards

I went antiquing and I fell in love with this typewritter

It was an Underwood but I didnt know if I was going to have difficulties finding ribbon or not

so I told the guy i'd be back BUT

Ive been thinking about it ever since so maybe its meant for me :)

I want THIS from Three Potato Four 

BUT I want a PINK royal instead of BLUE!

What Left over?

Just wanted to post a couple cards before I go to bed

I used some left over scrap from previous cards :)
So if it looks familiar...thats the reason why.

These cards were so fast and easy to make because
I had all these left over pieces already made
like for example I used that Jute swiss dot layer on this card
and the Green frill is left over from this card
That flower was stamped & cut already it was a left over from a card I was going to layer the pieces
and changed my mind last minute and only used one layer instead.



and that blue flower is from this card
I used the other flower because the spacing on the petals looked better than this flower
hahahahha

and the blue layer is a left over from this recent card
 


I Don't know what I would do without these Paper Source Flat scallop cards :)

I did however use something new (to me) that I haven't used before....

I bought it from Craft Fancy
Its a new store near my work :)

Housewarming

My friend Jonnie
Is having a housewarming party
and as a gift I told her I would make her the invites for it...
I had this GREAT idea
dont you hate it when you have a great idea cant let it go
and it turns out to be such a pain in the bottom?
well, thats what this invite turned out to be LOL
I wanted a house with a fence and a tree!
I know i know...
I was going to use the Maya road home sweet home chipboard
But theres were too many diff sizes
soooooooooooo
I had to rethink the design
then i remembered we had this doodle bug sizzix die cut at stampology
so I borrowed it.

OMGooodnessssss
good thing I had some helpers
 because i would have been crossed eyed by the time I finished cutting all these shapes :)



and I thought this "home made" stamp
was appropriate :)
I got it for 50% off at Hobby Lobby

Jenni Bowlin Class

The Jenni Bowlin class
was so fun to design!

I made four cards :)

Heres one of them:


I used THIS and SERIOUSLY
I love her Crepe ribbon

I think it adds such a feminine touch ;)
I need it in black too! heehee

I also used the crepe ribbon on the side again :)

Oh and I was looking for something to use in the center of the butterfly
and we've had this "ribbon" at the store from May arts :)

I used this instead of pearl pins :)

I think JB's Tangerine Dream line is AWESOME!
I love the PRINTS & the colors :)

I wanted to cut the little Bingo cards on the back of the packaging of the mini labels
its so teeny tiny and adorable :) I had to use it on a card! LOL
and remember this?
Magic Mesh?
we had a ton at the store
so I decided to use it.
heehee I think it gave the card fun texture.

Mini Books

SO can I just say that Im so INSPIRED by
THIS book?
I just wanna make a Gabajillion Mini Books Galore :)
LOL

Theres my pretty copy that I've read like 20 times LOL
I also bought this at J's

For a while I kinda just made cards because it was instant gratification
NOW with all these mini book options its also an even BETTER instant gratification ;)

I have to admit that I haven't made a whole lot for myself
every time I make a mini book its either a gift or its for someone else.
So having these two books totally gave me the mini book kick I needed :)

This week, J's sale is 40% all scrappin stuff
I went there without any purchase in mind...
and I came across this little goodie :)

My Uncle just came back from serving in Iraq and my aunts been here in Chicago
BUT they have to move back to Japan because thats where my uncle is stationed
Anywayz, its her daughters b-day this weekend
and I thought as a little goodbye gift
I'd make her this mini album!

I cant tell you how fun this kit is :) and for $5.99 and 40% off you cant beat it
It comes with everything you need :)
Although I did get an extra MAT pack :)

This was kylies Christmas pic her & her brothers all got dressed up as little Japanese cuties
I just LOVE this picture :) {heehee} shes so teeny Tiny.


I'm actually making 3 of these one is for my other aunt
and I'm keeping one for myself :)

so This top album I covered the front panel with paper and folded it.
But, I also made another one and painted the edges
with Tim Holtz Crackle Paint

This is how it dries


and i also stitched the front cover sheet together



I used a fabric brad instead of the one it came with from the
K & Co Margo Collection



I didn't put any pics in my book yet :)
I should be all done with the 3rd one by tomorrow :)
I just have to add pics.
