Good Deal

So I went to Joanns the other day
and I found a great deal :)

The whole entire La-di-dah
collection was either $.97 or $1.97
so I kinda bought one of each some more than 1 LOL
{it looks like KI has a SALE on their site too}



I also wanted to share a LO using La-di-dah goodies

and LOVED it! totally worth your time :)

Happy Chinese New Year!

This weekend was so much fun :)
I went to my friend Karens crop at Eaglewood resorts
It was a Fri, Sat & Sun event but I only attended Saturday



Darlene, Jen, Denise, Krista & me :)
I didn't get much accomplished
I was working on cards for Stampologys Hero Arts class

Inauguration

Im so excited about the Inauguration
were having an OBAMA day @ school
and were viewing the whole thing on our smartboards
via CNN

I went to woodfield today to look for an OBAMA shirt...
yeah NO LUCK!
I found one at Spencers that was super UGLY & super big!
SOOOOOOO
my friend suggested that I should just make one
I'm like yeah.... what a good idea...

this is the result



You cant really see it but the fabric is polka dots I got it at the quilting section of J's
& my dad sketched out the letters for me
I used HEAT bond to adhere the letters to the shirt & my mom & I stitched it together :)
I also pulled out my "B-dazzler" & went at it LOL
I LOVE that freakin thing!

SOOOOOO Happy Inauguration day is here
I'm ecstatic about witnessing such an important part of history
and I'm sure ready for a "CHANGE"

Stampology Employee Party

This past Saturday was Stampologys employee party
Dave and Sue always hosts the most wonderful parties
and they cook such GREAT delicious food

so I made some for her too!
(which is a great accomplishment because I don't cook LOL)

I mean new like we've been going to there house the past 4 years
& I've never seen it look any where close to the year befores decor

It took me 2 hours to get to work today ;(
(my commute is usually only about 35/40 min)

There's only 30 students in the building
Maybe less ;(

I'm HERE I'm HERE!
F I N A L L Y :)

Happy 2009!!!

I hope everyone's holiday went well
I have to be honest that this holiday was pretty tough
WE got through it
 but it was definitely NOT the same without Sam.

SOOOOOO what have I been up to?

I've been super busy at work we had a class start January 5
so I have to make sure all my students tie up loose ends
my corporate trainer came down to meet & follow up with my progress from my
other training when I went to Pottsville :)
SO its been a little crazy to say the least.


I've also been busy working on a couple of projects
and I'm not completely done actually
BUT i wanted to share it with you anyway :)

I feel like SO MUCH happened in 2008
not that I documented every single day of it or anything
BUT it was definitely an interesting year for me

I was reading the January 2009 issue of Scrapbook Etc
and I loved Lisa McGarveys LO on page 37
SOOOOO MUCH!
so....I scraplifted to make this LO:



I used one of the pages from Lisa's April KOTM (finally! I only bought it back in April!)
I'm not done with the cover I think my title will be simple....2008 Highlights




Of course I wanted to use a LOT more pictures....*UGH*
I couldn't just STOP at a layout...

I'm definitely NOT done with this project I promise I will share when I am
BUT heres a peek :)


I also made a 2008 album!
 I'm trying to gather what I did each month
and its pretty difficult if you weren't anticipating on making an album
So I'm taking bits & pieces from my planner twitter and the BLOG



Anyway
I read about the Project 365 kit on the January issue of CK
I was in the process of making these projects
& I'm like WOW what a great idea!
Although I dont know how exciting 2009 will be
and I'm doubting I can keep up with 365 pictures....
I know It'll be a challenge
so I ordered it anyway :)
It should be arriving January 9th whoo hoo!

Speaking of Challenges
I made some 2009 resolutions

I want to run a 5K
I use to RUN a LOT & now I probably wont last 5 min on a treadmill
so 5K is a long shot but hey that's why its a challenging goal :)

I also work right across Trader Joes in Arlington Hts.
& seriously they have so much organic yummy goodness
so I'd like to try as much TJ food throughout 2009

I would also like to be more patient with the parentals :)

I want to use up more of my junk for projects
UGH theres so much good stuff out there & I always buy new stuff
when I have so much old stuff I mean I probably have "VINTAGE" scrapbooking stuff that I should make an effort to use up!

I thought of more resolutions
 of course I didnt write them down...
I'll work on that :)

Really quicky ABBEY update
I had a little bit of a heart attack
she went in to hibernation & I didnt even notice until a week later
she wouldnt move she was super cold she stopped eating I thought she was dead :(
It just got too cold for her
and Hedgehogs do hiberbate but african ones are not suppose to because they dont retain food & thats how they die....
so I blasted the portable heater overnight & she woke up!
Phew!
I dont know what I would have done :(
shes my favorite :)
Shes OK now & she cant wait till winter ends!

I thinks that's all I have for now...
