Weekend DIY & Scrappy events

I talked about wanting to add Vinyl to my bathroom wall back in JANUARY....{eeek}
and I thought about THIS decal from Etsy,
BUT I'm so glad I found this FLUTTER one from Stampin' Up instead.
I've had it for a couple weeks now
and I finally got around to putting it up TODAY!

This is how my bathroom use to look



My Bathroom also has a skylight so part of my wall is higher than the other sides



I wasn't really sure what direction I wanted the butterflies to come from
but I decided on this



It looks really neat with the mirrors too



I also made a new framed wall art
I made the old one too But I just wrapped handmade paper
around cardboard easy peasy.

BUT for this new one I used the Stampin Up Beautiful Butterflies Die cut
and a little bit of the Swirl BLING I got from the EXPO last week
and I cut the butterflies out of shimmer paper.
I'm quite happy with the outcome ;)
I might buy a smaller set of butterflies too though,
I think I want to add a few more towards the top of the ceiling.






Also this weekend...
There was a couple LOCAL scrappy events that I went to.
Windy City had their annual BAG SALE!
HOLY MOLY! so much fun :)

It's also much larger than just this table
There was STUFF all around their whole classroom!

It was worth (org. retail) like $700 bucks!

 
The other event was the NOT just Stickers Consignment SALE
I've never been to this before
so I was curious to see what it was all about :)
I dragged my mom with
(who bought way more things than I did)
I spent $11.00 & that included 2 Quickutz dies I bought for my friend Jen
we went during the 50% off colored tags time.


and I saw my other friend Jen @ the Sale
she had a CTMH booth there :)

This was such a FUN & INSPIRING weekend for me :)
I hope you guys had a good weekend as well!
Back to work tomorrow
and its crazy almost NEW school start week
which you guys know is about the time I disappear for much longer than I'd like to
But don't be too sad...

Stampology Events

Last Thursday was my Hero Arts Class at Stampology
which went VERY well.
I was so glad to see the ladies :)




It was lucky that we got a very special visit from our favorite
Little Bijon Frise cuties Bijoux & Bo



They are so friendly and adorable I want one so bad :(



Then the next day... Friday was the Stampology
customer appreciation party :)
Of course Dave & Sue had yummy food served as always.





We even had a bartender! ;)

Super Deals

Soooo last week PEACHY CHEAP
had a GRAB Bag sale for $9.99 :)
The Grab Bag's worth was said to be about $60.00 or more.
SOooo I thought...what the heck :)
I LOVE Surprises :)
so my packaged arrived today.....

Another deal I got was from Creativexpress

They have a "Manufacturer clearance $1.00 or less section"
super awesome!



I got those "Mon Petit" chipboard letters for $1.00
the Etcetera chipboard labels for $.50 or .75
Making Memories sticker $1.00
thickers was $2.00 but it was the GLITTER ones :)
and felt flowers was $1.75

It's so fun to find scrappy stuff for such a deal
I was really surprised when I went to the Scrapbook Expo in St. Charles this weekend
because I felt like almost every booth had a super bargain!

I bought ALL this BLING....
why? cuz it was only .99 a piece



and these THICKERS...{I couldn't resists...I need thickers like I need a hole in my head}
BUT it was 5 for $10 and a few of them was only $1.75
I got a few more that's not pictured it wasn't AC but it was glittered chip & it was only $1.25
eeeeeeeekkkkkk! i wanted to buy em all :)
there was like 3-4 booths selling them for that price!

I totally cant wait to get it!!!!
I got box C and I'm hoping there's some Hedgie Goodies in it :)
I love Sassafras's HOG heaven line.

Hero Arts Holiday '09 stamps

{sorry...NO clue why the other Hero post looks so weird...Im re-doing it}

The little birdie in this set is soooooo cute!!!



& I totally card lifted the LO from the back of the packaging for card #3
This Seasons Greetings Tree stamp  is sooo fun



You cant really tell but
I used a Gelly Roll Stardust Clear pen on the tree and
it added just the right touch!
I don't know what I'd do without that PEN!!!



and for the last card its fall/thanksgiving themed & were using this
Season of Giving set



I used Copics to color the leaves and Prisma pencils to shade it in
there's also some stardust on the leaves :)
we're low on BLINGS at the store
so I have to use the next best thing
heehee :)



I will try to take a pic of the cards
& post more details after the class.

The class is SOLD OUT
but sometimes Dave does a second run if there's a lot of requests

BOOOOoooo! It's MONDAY tomorrow
this weekend went by WAY too fast.

I went to work Sat. & my weekends always seem shorter when I work a Sat.
BUT when I came home from work
I was surprised to see that my Antro package arrived so soon!

BUT they are also sold out of it already!

So this weekend I started uploading more things to my Virtual Blog Sale...
Its NOT quite ready yet...(more things to add)

Anyway I decided to tackle my Hello Kitty/Sanrio collection
these things are super Vintage by now
cuz I've been collecting since I was like 4 or something
I'm not sure how ready I am to part with the whole collection
But it might be time to part with some stuff.
I started putting together a stationery LOT...
I'm planning to go from there.

Flower Pot card

I have a cute card to share thanks to Jen :)

 
she had a stamp camp a little bit ago and I was so INSPIRED
we used 2 new fun die cuts : Simple Flower Embosslits
and this Little Leaves Sizzlits Die
I love how the simple flower die also embosses :)

I card lifted and made a couple more cards but I used other materials
I'm waiting for my little leaves to arrive :)





I used this Die-cut Blooms sheets for the flowers
and this Apron Lace Border punch and the leaves
are from Creative Impressions (I cut them apart)

My dad read an estate sale listing near by our home
and the listing said stamping, scrapbooking, and costume jewelry....
he told me about it and he's like maybe you'd like to go?
I've never been to an estate sale before
so I didn't know what to expect...
HOLY MOLY
I got lots of fun goodies
LIKE that super cute Amuse scalloped stamp!

and I also got few Stampin' Up sets :)

ALL that for maybe 25 or less

and I found this awesome drawer thingy...
I'm planning on painting it....PINK lol :)
I'll be sure to post a pic when I get around to it.


and I did find a few pieces of Jewelry
but this one is my favorite!
It's from Spain and I found the matching bracelet too



This weekends been pretty fun
except for my Kitty Earls been sick since Thursday.
Hes still not eating. We took him to the vet he had 106 fever
its gone down since thurs. but hes still glum
hes been sleeping a lot.
We have to force down pedialyte with a dropper
Its been the only thing hes been able to keep down :(
Hes on antibiotics...I've seen some improvement but very little.
This was a pic of him Friday he just stayed like that pretty much the whole day

He wanted to go upstairs today so I carried him to my bed
where he normally sleeps
this is a pic of him TODAY
he looks way more comfy
I think he slept for 7 hours straight!


I hope he gets better soon!
