Can you believe that X-mas is over already?

The NY is just around the corner

honestly though my new header tells how I really feel

I'm ready for the NY & WELCOMING it with OPEN arms :)

We had some amazing FLUFFY snow action the day after X-mas

the grounds looked like marshmallows :)

I wanted to make 10 snow angels BUT yeah it didn't happen

I was freezing my BUTT off.....{LITERALLY} lol

 I wanted to share some random RECENT LOVES

I've been going cuckoo crazy over "Statement Necklaces" 

Like this one from Anthro that I got for X-mas

and this beauty

although this pic shows multiples

so it makes it look extra beautiful :)

 

and I made this yo yo cutie

 

and I also made this one for my friend for X-mas

her fave color is purple

I've also recently downloaded a new iPhone app

That you have to check out if you have an iPhone....Its called: WINK

Shutterfly's new photo print program for iPhone

and FB pics :) you can create photo strips (find more info HERE)

I loved taking daily pics & I've been pretty good about that part

BUT I've been really bad about putting my P365 Kit together :(

I'm contemplating about BH's new Project Life kit

I feel like the commitment to daily pics might be less than the 1st kit.

I mean come on now.....

my lifes really not that interesting some of my pics

are of my breakfast LOL

I also signed up for this app on FB

that generates status updates for '09

LOL its pretty fun to see all the

ridiculous things I posted about throughout the past year

I wanted to take this CZ class for the purpose of gathering lil tid bits

of info like this :)

I got the BEST package from my aunt in Japan today

Such CUTE Hedgie things!!!

The little mini hedgie stickers are so ADORABLE

I don't think I'm ever gonna use it....I just wanna keep it forever!!!

LOL (this is how massive stuff collect BTW)

by keeping something you think is so adorable

for serious eye candy purposes only :)

(that little guy with his tounge stickin out is so stinkin CUTE!)

Oh & she also sent these yummy chocs

Peppermint Barks, Cake Bites & Cake Pops Oh my!

Sorry this is a day late...

I was up till 1:00 yesterday making cake pops for work

so I have some pics of YUMMY treats to share with you :)

As I mentioned on the previous post

I was intrigued over Elle's post about peppermint barks

so when I decided to try making it

instead of spreading it on a pan

I decided to line this mini muffin pan I bought fr. Pamepered chef instead.

once you melt the chocolate

smooth it out & let it cool

do the same thing with the white chocolates

I only wanted to use peppermints

BUT my dad bought a brand new jar of pistachios

(he LOVES pistachios)

so I also made some with pistachios :)

It looks like this when its all finished :)

Perfect bite size and looks cute for gift giving!

It's a little bit more work than just spreading it on a baking sheet

I did make the one I kept for the house on a baking sheet

BUT these individual ones are super cute

Oh and I also made Peppermint cake bites tonight

I used this devils food cake mix

Starts out like this....

Turns in to THIS :)

Looks delish right? :)

I'm obviously still trying to channel my inner Bakerella!

Here's the in between deets

Scoop up the cake

I like to use an ice cream scooper

Roll 'em up in to a ball

make sure its small enough to fit the mold

melt the chocolate

pour it into the mold

and roll the bottom of the cake balls in to the peppermint

and drop in to the mold

*make sure to push it in*

{sorry this is the pic of the first batch & i put too much on a few}

 

Once the chocolates are hard

Then its ready to be dipped in white chocolate

and the peppermint

Done & Done 

I'm not sure how I'm wrapping these yet for gift giving

but I'll make sure to take a pic :)

On to the next treat :)

YUMMY Red Velvet Cake Pops!

I made them in Green

and PINK of course :)

I used my Beautiful PINK tree as my Inspiration :)

M helped me decorate :)

He was my MANUAL sprinkles picker outer LOL

The Green pops were for his co-workers & the Pink ones were for mine

Once I let all the chocolates set

Its ready for decorating....which BTW is way more tedious than

decorating an actual tree  :)

 

2 Hours LATER.........

Its finally time to package them!

 

I forgot to take a pic of the packaged green ones

BUT heres the packaged PINK ones :)

I tied little bells & ribbons around them

Phew! I think I may be ALL baked out for a while

thank goodness its only 1 more day till X-mas!

I have a couple more handmade gifts to make

and I'll be ALL SET!

I'll make sure to share of course!

Weekend Wrap Up

What Sundays over already?

First...lets start off with some TV talk....

One of my fave shows season ended today :( Booooooooooooo!!!

I was really rooting for Russell

although when the show just started I wanted him to be voted off first!

Throughout the game 

I grew fond of him & appreciated his passion for the game.

BUTTTTTTTTTTT instead Natalie won

*UGH*

This season was ridiculous!!!!!!!!

In my opinion its one of The B E S T  seasons

and its cuz Russ made it so interesting to watch :)

It's rumored that hes gonna be in the upcoming Heroes vs Villains season!

I'm so excited for this one :)

Be on the lookout for the cast list Feb 11.

Also this weekend I went to see the movie that EVERYONE is talking about

AVATAR

HOLY AMAZINGness :)

Its definitely a MUST see...I want to watch it again {& again}

Just a tip though WATCH it on IMAX 3D for best viewing experience.

The creativity and art is amazing & beautiful.

James Cameron is a complete utter genius :)

Another show that I'm getting in to since all my shows are on repeat is

DEXTER! :) My friend let me borrow season 1 & I'm hooked :)

I was hoping to finish the whole season this weekend BUT

I only watched shows 1-4 :(

While watching Dex I was writing out my personal X-mas cards

(nothing like the last minute)

I was consumed by the gabajillion X-mas cards I sent out for work

I just got to work on my personal ones this weekend.

So these will go out 1st thing tomorrow! Yahoo!

Oooh & a GREAT find while I was out X--mas shopping

I went to Bath & Body and found THIS

Lavender Vanilla Body Mist!

Im allergic to strong perfume scents

I actually dont wear perfume at all....This B&B scent

is my ABSOLUTE favorite because its so light & calming

I've wished & wished for this scent in a body spray

I'm waiting for their after X-mas sale to stock up LOL

{just thought I'd share in case theres any other aromatheraphy fans out there)

 I've been thinking about

what kind of treat to make for friends this year

& I saw Elle's Peppermint Bark tutorial

and decided to try it.

Dominicks had a 2/$5.00 Ghirardelli choc sale

last week so I bought a few

I tweaked it a little bit

and I do have pics

I'm going to save it for a separate post :)

{possibly for Tues}

so be on the look out!

Instant Photo Garland

As promised

Im sharing a pic of the Instant Photo Garland I made for work :)

I was INSPIRED by Elsies nook :)

I made it using Glitter foam :)

It was on sale last week at Hobby Lobby for 40% off

The letters, poinsettia, & Holly were cut out from the Winter Woodland set

(which I ABSOLUTELY love)

and the frame is made with the Instant Photo quickutz die

(I've used this die a gabajillion times already Its so fun & versatile)

Ive been making a pretty good dent with my X-mas cards

I cut a bunch of poinsettias to embellish cards I'm sending out for my students at school :)

and I found this at Target over the weekend

SOOOOooooooooo FUN!

I've been seeing HK everywhere recently :)

her 35th anniversary is a BIG deal I guess!

We had a Pajama Day at work on Friday

guess what my Pjs were :)

Hedgehog Holiday Photoshoot

Yipppeeee :)

You can probably tell I have a new banner (again)

I had a bright idea to stitch a little santa hat for Abbey

and then it turned in to a photo shoot!

I have no idea how those animal photographers do it

because seriously it was a WORKOUT trying to get Abbey to keep the hat on

and she pooped on me like 10 times during the process.

{it was her way of paying me back for making her crazy} LOL

I LOVE some of the pics that came out though :)

This one is my FAVORITE :)

This is her "Scrunch face" that she makes when shes curious or mad

{she was super mad at me being all up in her face}

I bought her new treats recently and I've been hiding it around her cage

so she could have a "treasure hunt"

I think the treasure hunts working cuz I've been hearing a LOT of raucous at night :)

Holiday Stuff

Whoa seriously....where has time gone?

Is it just me or does it seem like everything is moving so fast?

I had good intentions about doing a card a day for this month as well as a December Daily

and although I've made stuff & taken Dec Daily pics

I have yet to share a Holiday card....and I do not have a DEC daily album made...

so this post is dedicated to HOLIDAY Hoopla shanannigans that's happening in ivyPINK land :)

Lets start with the box of holiday mess I had to sort through :)

I've definitely outgrown this box.....

because I have 12 x 12  holiday paper scattered all over the place

BUT its been convenient to have a "holiday" box because I've forgotten about some of the

embellishment stuff I had to begin with.

First card I have up to share is this little cutie

I LOVE Cosmo Crickets stuff :)

Seriously I'm such a new FAN :)

The Jolly by Golly line is adorable

:)I think ALL of CC's "ELEMENTS" paper

is such a fun quick way to make cards & gift tags and just add a little something to your pages or cards

I've FINALLY put my Loopy Punch to use :)

The Red Polka Dot file folder is from DOLLAR TREE :)

It was 25 for $1.00 what a bargain!!!!

It also came in B&W and Blue&W and B&W Gingham

I used almost all my B&W ones to make my TY cards

This past Saturday was the Holiday Renegade Fair

It was super PACKED! Crazy Busy :(

Anyway I came home from RCF very INSPIRED :)

and I made these cards

I used my Cricut for.....EVERYTHING pretty much :)

Im so hooked on that darn thing now :)

The FROST card kits are by My Minds Eye

This kit is from a while back

I just added some DC floss to the buttons

and put a LOT of BLINg to make look extra special :)

So 20 cards while watching Desperate housewives & Brothers & sisters Finale...

pretty good if I'd say so myself :) LOL

Oh I also made this GC holder for a class at Stampology

I used a CD tin and covered it with pieces that I cut out with my Cricut (Mini Mongrams)

and also this cute little matchbook treat box (tags,Bags & Boxes)

Im currently working on a garland right now to put up at work

(I hope I finish it by Tues)

I'll make sure I post a pic when I finish it :)

so thats all for now

I cant believe it's 2:16am already! Yikes I have work tomorrow
