Cake Ball Treats

So for V-Day I made Cake Ball Treats for my Sweets,Friends & Co-Workers:)

I was Thursday night till 1:30am finishing up the decor

and I woke up at 6:30 the Friday morning to finish wrapping them :)

That's what happens to procrastinators!

So I'm sharing some pics of my Cake Ball Treats :)

 

YUM! They are red velvet inside

Although they are not the most perfect decorating job

{I'll get there someday}

at least they tasted good :)

After they set I wrapped them individually

and simply tied a ribbon

I was planning to cut my own boxes but I didn't have time..

Luckily I had these Martha Favor Boxes on hand

I just decorated the outside with more of my smitten chipboards

 

and stamped the for you tag & punched it out

and tied it with bakers twine :)

I used these treat boxes because along with the cake balls

I also ordered these:

Chocolate Lip Gloss Heaven!

They look good enough to eat :)

iPhone Loves

Yikes, sorry for todays late post

I was up super late last night making V-day treats...which I'll share

more about on Sunday :)

For the mean time I'm sharing some of my recent iPhone pics

 OMGoodness I cant even tell you

how "Mad" I was (cuckoo mad not angry mad)

looking ALL over the place for the OPI Alice & Wonderland Mad As a Hatter polish

It's limited edition & I called like 15 beauty supply stores within 25 miles radius of my house/work

Thanks to my friend Crystal for helping locate ONE! yup just ONE!

I'm now on a waiting list for 2 more bottles...

I got a phone call today today to tell me that store might get it in 2 weeks!

OK enough about my polish search...

I FOUND this Pale PINK sugar sprinkle

SOOOO FUN!I used these for my V-day treats :)

 

I caught my 2 lovie cats cuddling when they we're napping

They play it off like they hate each other BUT they secretly LOVE each other!

 

I had avocado bubble tea & hello kitty sticks strawberry snacks

for Lunch on Monday :)

 

I was surprised while watching AirBud 2

they showed a hedgie (for like 2 seconds)

It looks just like Abbey...

I was so happy to see a hedgie in a movie!

I've seen this movie a few times before

BUT I've never noticed this clip I have a pic of it cuz I sent a text to my friend

with this message: "Look Abbeys look alike is on TV" LOL

1st sketch

I thought I'd copy my friend Amy 

and try a "sketch" today :)

This is the sketch I tried:

  Taylored Expressions sketch #99

I used my cute little Japanese girl from the Hero Arts friends again

 

I found this cherry blossom paper from Pink Paislee

{Autumn Blossom}

and I thought it would be the perfect background to use

I didn't really have a background in mind

prior to coloring the stamp ahead of time,

I used 3 different shades of PINK chalk for the shirt

and violet copic for the pants

So I thought.... to match the background with my stamp

I'd color the inner part of the cherry blossoms with the same

Violet copic.

I think it tied it together pretty nicely :)

For a first time sketch user

I cant really say if the sketch made it harder or easier for me to make a card...

I might have to try more to get the hang of it!:)

New Hedgehog Finds

I love to Google image hedgies

I just LOVE looking at them ;)

I think they are super cute! I want 'em all lol

I wanted to share some recent hedgie GOOD-nesses I came across :)

Like this hedgehog cookie cutter

Its the Drommar Pastry cutter from ikea

you get ALL those animals for only 3.99

I did a search to see how much Schaumburg has & it looks like

they have plenty in stock! NOW I have to make my way out there ASAP :)

I also came across Suzannes AMAZING blog all about hedgies :)

She is also the author of The Roundabout Hedgehog Journey book

Her hedgie collection is so unique

It really is hard to find hedgie stuff so when you do find something

you almost feel like you hit the jackpot!

My hedgie collection is growing slowly but surely :)

{I'd like to thank everyone that has contributed to this collection LOL}

This little round ceramic one doesn't really look like a hedgie

but its an incense holder & one the sticks are in

it definitely looks more hedgehog-ish :)

This is how I feel today....

Its super cold & snowy out here in Illinois!

I used my cute little penguin from the

Jolly Little Winter stamp that Aileen got me for my B-day :)

Here's some pic of the details

The hill & the litle penguin is popped up

 

I only put pop up tape at the edge of the snow hill

and tucked the sun behind it :)

The snowflakes look a little lifted as well because I used pop dots to adhere it on to the card

I also stamped part of the penguins earmuffs on patterned paper

to give it some color

I also drew a little wood grain on the fence for some texture :)

Well, I hope your keeping warm!

I think I might need a snuggie

BUT I don't know if I could trade my cute little hello kitty blanket for a snuggie

I LOVE this card :)

My friend JoLynn bought me this Hero Arts Friends stamp for my B-day

and I thought it was the perfect stamp to use

for this bright idea that popped in to my head :)

The "FRIENDS" fell in LOVE LOL

I love how his hand is kinda tucked behind him

I folded a piece of newsprint paper

and used more doodlebug sequins to make a bouquet

and here's the little details on her shirt

a couple Hero Arts gemstones to bling it up!

I used chalk & copic markers to color them in :)

Jens Stamp Camp

Sorry for the late Sunday posting :(

I seriously had like 10 loads of laundry that I could no longer ignore

Friday night, I went to Jens house for Stamp Camp!

It's always good times stamping with the girlies

Here we did some 2 Step stamping

{which I haven't done in a while}

which BTW stamps wonderfully :)

 

This little birdie in the Cheep Talk set is too cute!

We used the Huffing technique to stamp the branch & leaves

Jen always packs our card kits in a cute lunch bag

and she always decorates it

this was our lunch bag on Friday

I stayed pretty late after to chit chat
