As promised I said I'd share some pics from the Philippines...
These are some of the pics I took with my phone :)
This is one of the fabric stores I visited
I literally had to squeeze in between fabrics to get around & view
the different styles, if you are claustrophobic this would not be the place for you!
ALL the fabric stores I visited looked similar to this craziness lol
I LOVE the variety of ribbons there, I regret not buying more :(
This was a pic of just a small section of this stores wall.
Imagine a store with 4 walls and all the walls
was filled with ribbon from floor to ceiling...
this was what this store looked like :)
I passed by this store and I had to go back & snap a quick pic
It's a COTTON CANDY store!
How FUN is that?
Im TOTALLY missing the fruits there already!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE fruits
& what I LOVE even more is how fresh the fruits are
because a lot of the vendors hand pick the batch they sell daily :)
I got to try a LOT of fruits I haven't tasted or forgot how they taste
while I was there...Like a Star Apple (cainito)
which was one of my favorites
Chico (Sapodilla),
Mangosteen (OMG so delicious!!! I did have this fruit in Canada, BUT it was expensive)
Lanzones (lLansium domesticum) I havent fresh lanzones in I cant even remember how long
because last time I went to the PI it was NOT in season :(

BUT my MOST favorite of all
and Let me tell you I had to search all over to buy fresh ones
is the Jackfruit!!!!!
This pic I took is one of our neighbors tree...
I whispered sweet nothings to it daily so it would ripen faster
BUT unfortunately it didnt ripen fast enough while I was there
BUT I still did find some in the wet market....
you can also boil the seeds inside the jackfruit just like you would boil peanuts
Sooooooooo DELICIOUS!
Lets just say I ate enough jackfruit to not crave any for another few years :)
I know I mentioned the "wet market" a couple times
and a wet market is ann out side market that sells a variety of stuff
such as fruits, meat, fish & vegetables....
This is a pic of a wet market the sign read "fresh Kambing (goat)"
YUCK!!! there it is whole with its tounge out GROSS!!!
At the wet market you can buy fresh chicken still cuckoodooledooing one minute
and dipped in hot water & its feathers plucked, & blood drained right before your eyes
for you take home for dinner!
SUPER crazy talk I couldnt believe it myself!
I thought this fish is fresh...... wait til I post pics from Hong Kong
the seafood wet market there was CRAZY! the fish was still swimming!
I saw these pringles from a far...Im like oooooh PINK pringles!!
Then I see the flavors.... "Grilled Shrimp", "Seaweed", & "Soft-shell Crab"
Yeah.....not sure about those flavors....lol
HOLY schmoly all my favorite snacks all in one aisle
(for like 1/4 of the price I buy them here)
S C O R E ! ! !
I found this cute baby goat by my grandpas house :)
(he'll probably be dinner in a few months....j.k...maybe)

a BLACK GHOST fish
I thought they we're cool cuz they were swimming up & down
I found Abbeys baby daddy LOL
They had an albino hedgehog at the pet store
I was trying to convince my uncle to buy one
it costs 3,500 pesos {45=$1 dollar}
I gained 8 lbs while in the PI (HOLY!I've been back to my strict diet since I got back)
sooooooooo craving these right now though
RED RIBBON cake!
I wish they'd open a red ribbon here in IL!

and Halo Halo *sigh.....Chowking Halo Halo to be exact this bowl
which was not even the biggest one you could get,
was way more than enough & it was only $1.00!!!! YUM!
I hope you enjoyed the pics!
I'll have more to share throughout the week :)
