Wedges are in!

Is anyone else glad that wedge shoes are "in" again

cuz SERIOUSLY I LOVE wedge shoes!!!!

 

I cant wear heels to save my life

BUT i do like feeling tall

since I'm only 5'2 wedges are a blessing ;)

I bought these wedge boots last year but M also bought me

black wedge boots for xmas so I ended up wearing those first

and saved these for this fall instead

Only Tuesday?

Is it really only tuesday?

TODAY felt like the LONGEST day ever!!!!

BUT ANYWHO....I have a few things to share with you guys :0

Last Thursday I went to the Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) The Wall concert

FREAKING awesome!!!!!!

we got a suite and my FAVORITE part about the suites is....

the DESSERT cart that rolls around :) woot woot lol

 

Then Friday my date with DEXTER started & consumed me the WHOLE weekend!

I caught up to season 3 episodes 3 & 4

cuz my co-worker got me hooked on Dexter & she said I HAD to watch SEASON 4 

cuz it was the BEST one :)

so she ordered season 4 thursday from amazon 7 it came to work by friday morning

gotta LOVE Amazon!!!!

SEASON 4 = GASP! SERIOUSLY

I wish I had showtime cuz I'm dying to continue season 5

I wonder if I can watch this online? hmmm...

while watching what felt like a gabajillion episodes

I worked on a huge birthday project!!!

I measured & cut all of these by hand and i actually have like 300 more to cut still!

I cant wait to show you more peeks ;)

speaking of birthdays OCTOBER is my birthday month

so don't be surprised if i talk about it a lot lol

I have a gabajillion projects I'm working on for my birthday crop

AND i got this is the mail today

MY FAVORITE part of birthday month cuz I'm OBSSESED with everything at anthro!

and i already got an early birthday present from my boss lady ;)

she FLIPPIN crochet me a HEDGEHOG scarf!!!!!

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO in LOVE with it :)

we used some dear lizzy crochet flowers and fancy pants too ;)

So about Sunday...

Part 2 of eventful weekend :)

Sunday was another birthday celebration

My friend Jolynn had a crafty get together at Stampology.

BUT, before Stampology I went to pick out her present at Paper Doll 

Which was my first time there

SUPER CUTE stationery store

Extra CUTE cuz this lil cutie was also at the store

She even had her own business card up at the counter with her "stats"

soooo CUTE!

 
They had lots of goodies there!

 

 I Bought a couple Snow & Graham wraps for a project I'm working on ;)

 
Then at Stampology I worked on more of these pretties & started packaging them

They will be available at the store soon :)

 
 After Stampology the "foodie crew"

I like to call it the foodie crew

cuz our get together's usually revolve around food lol (& someones birthday)

This time the food pick was German

I was so excited cuz I've never had german food before :)

and what perfect timing because its....

OKTOBERFEST!!!!

We ate at Schnitzel Platz in Glendale Heights

 
They had specials on Oktoberfest beers...

here's a pic of me with M's liter cuz I dont drink beer!

After that he also wanted to try their sampler :) 

 

 For appetizers we ordered Veal Brats

 & Potato pancakes

 

(which is my new favorite!!!)

they served it with apple sauce & sour cream

its like an EXTRA SPECIAL hash brown YUMS!

and for dinner I ordered a

Wiener Schnitzel

 

{Breaded Veal Schnitzel with Lemon Served with home Fries and Red Cabbage}

 I loved how it was crispy..I like crispy foods ;)

 Although, it is also available with gravy.

 
while dinner was happening we were provided with  some entertainment

How was your weekend?

Eventful weekend

Man, I'm still tired from this past weekend

that I'm just getting around to posting about it now lol

I celebrated a couple friends birthdays

I have LOTS of pics to share this post is going to be a  2 part-er :)

First friday=(date night)

I've always wanted to go to Millrose in South Barrington

they had a "peach sangria" on the menu...sangrias are my new friends :0 lol

It didnt taste so much like a white sangria though & it was more orangey than peach

BUT it was still yummy :)

 
My favorite part of Millrose was the mini dessert sampler!

you can choose 3 for $6

or 5 for $10

I chose the 5 for $10 and only ate 1/4 of my dinner lol

The Kahlua cake was absolutely amazing & I would go back just for that alone :) 

After dinner we went to see Easy Awhich was HILARIOUS!

Then Saturday I went to an all day crop at Archivers in Niles

 for my friend Darlenes birthday :)

I haven't gone to a crop in forever!

Its so hard to scrap away from home

BUT I had a lot of fun & finished a few PROJECTS

Then sunday....

OK Sunday might need a whole post of its own

and I have to go to work right now

Renegade Craft Fair 2010

What a FUN RCF day :)

I LOVED seeing ALL the creativity!

ONE DAY I will have a booth @ renegade :)

What am I gonna make/sell? NO CLUE yet lol

Lets start the pics shall we?

First the food!

I don't remember all these yummy treats last year!

I got lured by the "ELEPHANT EARS" 

.....I didn't even know where to begin my attack  cuz it was so HUGE

I actually had multiple people stop & ask me what the heck I was eating lol

 

See look how HUGE! its bigger than my face hahaha

*what a match..... elephant ears & sangria {YUM}

This was also something different....BUBBLE MAN!

He walked around in this crazy outfit 
 

 

 The bubbles came out from the back

                                 Then @ Renegade Handmade they were having a voting in the

                                                                   spotlight gallery

 

I couldn't decide between these 2

even though I didn't "get" what the  "owl pellets" theme was about

I just thought it looked cute

(a lady there explained it to me...after she asking me

don't you remember making them in school?)

If you learned about owl pellets before 3rd grade then yeah I have no clue!

& this one had scallops so I LOVED it instantly :)

specially cuz it was partially in PINK & the sentiment said "owl be there"

aweeeeee!

they did say it was new @ the show

I only saw the baby onesie version online

and I also got this pretty lotus necklace from Isette

and while on division

I also visited a few neighboring stores

like.....BEADNIKS!

If you are in to beads/jewelry/jewelry making

YOU have to go to beadniks!!!!

iPhone pic weekend recap

Did today feel like the longest day EVER

to anybody else or just me? LOL

I have some iPhone pics to share

to recap my weekend  :)

Friday I went to visit my friend Sammy who is OBSSESED with turtles!

He just got a new turtle the day before so now he has 3 :)

and now I want a land turtle a cute teeny tiny one! LOL

It was around feeding time & this one was faster than all the others!

she was ALL over this yummy goodness :)

 

Then Saturday M said it could be "Ivy's Day"

so I dragged him to this new scrapbooking store I wanted to go to

in Antioch called Hannah's

{I thought he'd complain but he didnt he even planned a whole day around it!}

Hannahs has a variety of deprtments within the store

 such as  beading, scrapbooking,floral department,

jewelry,Vera Bradley & home decor

definitely worth the drive it was about 50 min from my house

If you are looking for a gift for someone I'm sure you'll find it there :)

I wanted this cute cupcake memo cube!

But I currently have like 4 or 5 different memo cubes on my desk at work right now

sooooooo....I didnt end up buying it....BUT i'm regretting it!

Its sooo flippin cute!

more reason for me to go back there :)

 

After Hannahs we stopped by my FAVE place for lunch & to buy cheese bread {YUM}

Mars Cheese Castle is building a new place & its going to be shaped as a real castle!

They project it to be finished around March 2011 ;)

I cant wait!

After that we shopped at Gurnee Mills

I havent been there forever

and I saw this @ the middle of the mall

a cute little mini donut maker machine ;)

I want it lol

If it made donuts that tasted like funnel cakes or elephant ears

 It would so be mine!!!

we bought a dozen to taste & it was just ok

They sprinkled your choice of powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar

& one more I cant remember the flavor 

 Then on Sunday I made more rice crispies

this time strawberry flavored cuz I only had a few of the ones

I made on Friday & I was craving it

I paired it up with my other favorite purchase from Mars

Sarsaparilla Rootbeer (The GRANDADDY of all rootbeers) YUM!

 

I also managed to make these lovely embellishments for the shop

which I will put up soon after I package them

they are vintage & modern buttons with hand quilled flowers!  

 

Thats all I've got for now :)

Its so nice out right now & I'm about to take a walk

it's these kind of nights I wish I had a lil doggie to walk :)

HAPPY Labor Day

i just wanted to wish everyone a

Happy & safe Labor Day!!!

On friday I brought treats for my co workers

I made rice crispy treats :)

A new co worker we recently hired told me her dad

makes the BEST rice crispies

so we had a mini cook off :)

I also made little Labor day Tags

using my Cricut Designers Calendar Cart

There was glitter everywhere!!! :)

I'm not sure who the winner of the cook off is yet

I have to wait til Tuesday when we get back to work :)
