First of all let me just say that I'm NO make-up artist or expert
BUT I do like make up...everyday make-up wear.
So, I have really sensitive, oily skin & I break out so easily!
SOOOO not a good combination :(
I've tried a lot of products in the past & when I find something good
I tend to stick with it
Just thought I'd share some of my fave products with you
so lets take a look at my crazy messy make up bag
1. Smashbox Halo hydrating powder-$59
This powder is great because it feels light on your skin but it has good coverage.
I really like the fact that you "shave" the amount of powder you need as you use it
unlike other loose mineral powders. It also feels "cool" (literally) on your skin.
Also clinically shown After 10 minutes there is a 33% decrease in the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes.
-After 6 weeks of use, there is a 67% decrease in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles overall.
2. Tarte smooth operator micronized clay finishing powder-$28
*MY new found secret to smooth looking skin*
OMG! you need this in your life if you have ginormous pores like me ahhhhhhhhhhh!
It perfects & mattifies your skin once you apply it you can instantly see the difference
& it removes shine without adding color
It also minimizes pores by 20% within 4 weeks!
"This breakthrough technology improves the production of keratin, a building block of skin synthesis, to promote the tightening of skin and effectively shrinking over sized pores. Amazonian clay, nature's most perfect ingredient, acts as a total skin balancer by reducing dryness and flakiness, improving clarity and texture and removing surface oil to mattify skin for a soft focus and flawless finish"
3. Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess-$30
First of all for $30 this thing lasts forever!
Second thing I love about this product is it comes in matte. A lot of bronzers I've seen has some glittery/shiny shine to it. I usually use this as a blush or as a highlighter to add some definition to my cheekbones :)
* I also use this Smashbox Halo perfecting powder bronzer-$39 in the summer time
for an all around face color boost (specially if you get a little sunkissed)
It has all the qualities of the regular Halo powder.
4. Eye Shadows- I've used smashbox eye shawdows FOREVER & i still LOVE LOVE LOVE them
I tend to buy the Trio pots-$28 for color options & they all go great together
BUT I've recently found a new love :)
Laura Geller Baked eyeshadows-$23-$26
This Fresco pink/ Mystic Sea is my FAVORITE!
The PINK side is an all over shadow, it has a sateen finish so it gives you a little shine
its mostly like an all over brightness :)
BUT the black part....that's where all the magic happens lol
It has an awesome shimmer/metallic sheen :) Best part is you can use it as a shadow OR as a liner!
It can be used both wet or dry!
5. Bobbi Brown Long wear gel eyeliner-$21
Another great buy for your $$$ this pot lasts a LONG time!
It really lives up to its name too
If you want a liner that lasts ALL DAY then this is it.
It lasts ALL day on my eyes (even in the summer time)
& its a gel like texture is not clumpy, dry or flaky.
I'm not a big "matchy matchy brush" person but Bobbi's brush for this liner really does work best
I tried to use brushes I already had when Ifirst got it but it didn't glide on properly
this is the one time I'll have to suggest how much its worth it to buy the brush to match with this liner.
Which is called the Ultra Fine eye liner brush-$25
That's all I have for make up :)
Now lets move on to hair....
These past 2 years I've tried/experimented with more hair products
than Iever have the last 28 years of my life. LOL
I suppose that's what working at a beauty school does to you.
I have super "asian" heavy stick straight hair :)
A shampoo I found that adds volume is Matrix Amplify
*the only other thing I would want more from this shampoo is a fruity smell & then it would be PERFECT!
I love how it leaves my hair shiny & I feel like it adds a weightless lift :)
and THIS my friends.....

gives you a "boost" without much effort.
Key word without effort. LOL
Im not much of a hair fixer upper, In the summer my hair is air dried.
Meet: Goldwells double boost-$8
How you use it: After you take a shower, towel dry your hair. Spray where you want a boost & then style your hair as normal.
What I like MOST about it is it does not leave a sticky gross feel to your hair
it doesnt even feel like theres product in your hair, BUT it does its job
which is to add some lift (boost) :)
Last hair product that girls need in their life....
H A I R S P R A Y :)
for a while I was using Bed Head Hard head.....BUT ehhh sure it holds the style
BUT at the end of the night it left me with hair that felt like a birds nest! (yuck)
& it left a trail of hair spray specks all over my bathroom double yuckkk!
SOooooooooooo I tried something else & I love it wayyyyy more.
Sebastian Re-Shaper hairspray-$18.99 (available @ Target)
It'll hold your style, your hair "moves" it wont look like a hard hat on your head is what I'm saying :) & at the end of the night your hair wont feel like straw or sticky.
Last fave....then I have to go to sleep lol
NO CHIP UV nail polish/ manicure
does your Nail Shop offer this yet?
Here's a great blog POST about why its so fantabulous.
I actually have Shellacs Red Baroness on. I don't like having artifical nails.
The only thing I like about them though, is how long your polish lasts on them.
So this No CHIP UV polish is suppose to give you the best of both worlds
It lets you keep your natural nails BUT with the UV protectant your polish should last up to 2 weeks :)
Your manicure will be way worth it with these pretties.

Do you have any Products you swear by? share the knowledge!
Happy FRIDAY!
