Yesterday was the Indie Wed event

It was so interesting to see all these unique wedding niche vendors

I took so many business cards home!

My friend JoLynn accompanied me

Jo & I also LOVED the Layer Bake Shop Booth...

#1 reason was because the booth is PINK lol

 
 Everything i bought was PINK of course...like this Dark PINK Bakers Twine

and Pink mini baking cups and this sweet  PINK paper bag

Another booth I swooned over for

was the Classic Party Rentals booth

Its because they had this gorgeous chair cover on display

 
FOR the LOVE of ruffles seriously Gorgeous!!!!

Along with finding everything else you need for a wedding 

of course there was also catering companies

this inparticular one caught my eye because of their presentation

Shoes

Other than scrapbooking this past weekend I also went on a lil shopping trip ;) came home with 7 pairs of shoes!!!

I have a FB friend (we use to work together back in the day when I worked @ Bakers Shoes) she said one the things she always remembered about me was when I bought like 30 pairs of shoes all at once before I quit working there lol ;)

I guess I'm kind of compulsive?!?!

So 7 is not really bad compared to 30 Hahahaha
Here's a peek of a few of them ;)
I could only wear closed toed shoes @ work so that's all I buy now a days ;(

I love this polka dot one the scallop edge was the other reason it sold me ;)

Black flats + sequins can't go wrong

This has a little heel it also came in purple & I'm regretting that I didn't buy that also

Brown wedges....I really needed these in my life ;)

Mine would've been even better had the BEARS won today! UGH!

FUN Nail Polish Find!

Good Morning! Happy SUNDAY :)

You know how much I LOVE to share new Nail Polish finds....

WELL, I have a new find & its totally my new favorite :)

 
Its "Crackle Paint" for your nails

made by OPI its called Black Shatter for Katy Perry

 
It's really simple to use, you just put over any polish color

& it starts cracking immediately

Hedgie Card

I forgot to share with you the hedgehog card that went with the hedgehog onesie!

I used the hedgie from the Give a Hoot cricut Cart

and the cute alphabet paper is from Memory Box

The card pattern is from: Card Patterns: Sketch 97

 
I LOVE these cute little cricut critters!

I feel so lucky I was still able to snag a Gypsy @ Michaels with all the clearance frenzy going on! ;)
Of course I bought all the accessories to match too lol
Now....I just have to learn how to use it.
Don't know why I bought a jukebox(?) but for $9.99 I'm sure I can't go wrong

DIY Onesie & a baby shower

My friends brunch baby shower was this weekend

which I almost didnt make it to cuz I couldnt find the invitation

I thought it was still  2 weeks away....

 
Anyhow I didnt have time to look for her stuff in her registry

So I got a giftcard but a giftcard is not fun to open

So, I had a great idea to make something :)

I got some happy mail last week

 
and I REALLY wanted to put them to use

I used the cute little hedgie (of course) from the Give a Hoot cart

You'll need some Freezer paper for this project

Use your cricut to cut out the shape you need using freezer paper

 
Now place the freezer paper over the onesie

 
and Iron it down. Dont forget to place a towel over the shirt before you iron it down

 
this is really great to prevent any bleeds

if you're painting the whole image a specific color

or a really easy way to get a good even trace of an outline of the image on to the fabric

 
I used pencil to trace you can also use fabric pen if you wanted the outline to stay

I used fabric paint & a brush & painted VERY carefully :)

 
*You could keep your freezer paper on until you we're done painting if you wanted to

and before you know it, YOU are all done!  Just wait for the paint to dry.

I used a toothpick to paint the pricklies!

 
Voila!

RESULT: One happy Mommy to be :)

 
It was so great seeing all my old Paper Source friends/ex co-workers :)
