Minty Mani Monday

Sorry for the late Mani Monday post

I was running late this morning & I didn't have time to type this up

BUT here's this weeks mani

It's looks like a "net" in this pic

BUT it's actually scallops

I used the RA-111 plate

Here's the polishes I used

(BTW spoiled polishes are 2 for $3 @ CVS this week)

Sally Hansen Diamonds 120

(ALL Sally Hansen polishes are on sale B1G1 free @ Kmart this week)

I stamped with Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Emerald Express

 

I was really surprised by how ridiculously large

the brush was in the spoiled polishes

I did not like it all!

Here it is compared to what i consider a regular brush

 

It's thick & wide & not easy to use at all!

The WNW also has a wide brush

but it's not as thick as the spoiled brush

I just don't like either of these brushes

BUT I do love both of these polishes.

 

Also a nice find I found this week is this

Boots Rose cuticle oil

*I found it @ my Target on clearance for $2.38

(that's what made me try it)

What I like about this product

besides the rose scent, is that it doesn't feel super oily

after you apply it. It just kinda soaks in to your skin.

Another AMAZING find at TARGET......are you ready for this

GAH!!!! I found it :)

BUT....yeah there's a BUT.....

I didn't realize it was a fabric material

which makes it a little flimsy :(

It's a tiny bit too small for all my crap

(just means I have to bring less I suppose)

and I really do NOT like the magnetic closure!

BUT the print & color is even more adorable in person

I like that there's a few pockets inside :)

I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep it just cuz I'll prob regret it if I return it.

 

Other news that I'm happy about......

 

I FINALLY

FINALLY

FINALLY reached GOLD level Starbucks status

LOL it took flippin LONG enough :)

I'm so excited to recieve my GOLD card even though

I always use my Starbucks card iPhone app

The only thing I find annoying is that you have to "re qualify"

each year to stay in the gold status :(

Which means you have to purchase 30 drinks within a year

to stay GOLD doesn't sound like a lot or very hard I know...

BUT it's just the point that if you don't you lose your gold perks.

Mani Monday & Polish Haul

First here's this weeks mani

I had to cut my nails short (wah:( so sad) 

I broke a few of them at the airport so I'm just starting over. 

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Milani holographic polish

(must collect them all heehee)

It looks really glittery but it's not chunky at all

& the holo really shows even indoors :)

I was SUPER impressed!

I stamped with sally hansen Grape Going

I used the BM-214 plate

 

Now on to the haul....honestly when I'm at the store

I feel like polishes talk to me & beg me to bring them home!

LOL :) I have a problem...this I know :)

I have this hillarious video to share with you that

Michelle sent to me & I was dying of laughter & realized

I've totally said like 95% of the things this girl said!

I picked up some of the new spring mini releases

from OPI Holland Collection

This Dutch Treats set had most of the colors I was interested on trying

which was (L-R) I have a Herring Problem, Red Lights Ahead...where?,

Kiss Me On My Tulips and Pedal Faster Suzi!

I think my fave so far is I have a herring problem

the color is just so different & so is the shimmery silver finish

This Essie Spring collection reminds me of candy!!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE them ALL

Navigate her & Tour de finance

but my fave is Navigate Her such a pretty light mint color

I also saw this at the beauty store I believe it's a new brand

I've never heard of Venique before & whats different about this brand of polish?

 It's made w/ Sil-Tek a silicone based ingredient that causes the polish to be flexible.What does that mean for you? A polish that guards against the annoying chipping and flaking of a regular manicure. Plus, Sil-Tek works with the infused diamond dust ingredient for an extra shiny finish. When the original shine is lost, all you have to do is buff your nails a little, and the shine returns

This color is so pretty! It's a grey with silvery/white shimmer finish

I got a great deal @ CVS this week for these 2

It's B1G1/2 & the magic coupon machine had $2.00 &

if you are a beauty club member they sent a $3.00 coupon via email

& I had 2-$1.00 mfc coupons & I had a $4 off $20 and some extra bucks

pretty much almost FREE :) I LOVE CVS lol

& I got a great deal on this Jason Wu CND set

this whole set was only $10! It was also the last one woot woot!

Speaking of Jason Wu did you guys have any luck @ Target?

I was in CA when his line launched & I really only wanted 3 things

This shirt which was the ONLY thing I found!

 I LOVE the cat image cuz it reminds me of my Lil Molly :)

I want to put some bling on the red flower heehee

& these 2 bags

If you guys spot these in any target near you (in IL)

let me know! I need it in my life :)

Marvy Adventures

For those of you who thought Dave was on "crafting retirement"

You'll be happy to know that..........

HE's B A C K ! lol

But, these apperances are limited and you

can most likely spot him hangin' out at Marvy Uchida

We recently went to Anaheim, CA

to help Dave teach a class for Marvy

 

The classroom was about 6 times the size

of the classroom we were normally accustomed to :)

Filled with about 100 ready to craft ladies

 

Look how proud they are of their masterpiece!

 

 

It was wonderful having all these ladies come to class!

Afterwards everyone recieved a Le Plume Certified Certificate

and a lil LOVE from Dave :)

 

The last day before everyone left

The sweetest "BIG Boss Man" at Marvy (Steve)

to us all out for a treat at Buca di Beppo

Everyone left very happy & about 10 lbs. heavier!

Make n Takes fr. CHA

I just wanted to share some of my Favorite Make n Takes from the CHA show with you guys ;)

I've used this bag a bunch of times already that's why it looks a Lil dirty
This bag was from the Plaid booth they released a brand new Martha Stewart Crafts multi surface acrylic paint and also some Stencils & brushes ;)
This was so easy to make! Pretty much you just stippled the brushes with paint over the stencil & the paints are very pretty colors! I haven't unpacked yet but when I find the paints we got as samples I'll create something with it & share it w/ you guys ;) I loved all the colors & some of them are glittery & shimmery pretty much I'd like to collect them all ;) lol

This might be my most favorite make n take EVER actually it's a badge holder made with crystal beads but I'm actually thinking of taking it apart so I can create a necklace and/or matching bracelet I think I'll get more use of it in comparison to the badge holder. Although I did LOVE having a blingy badge holder ;) I do NOT know why I cannot remember this lady's booth name!

I can't help it sometimes my brain just farts :( lol

Then over at Westcott, they had super fun make n takes like 4 of them going on all at the same time! ;)
I made this Velcro wallet (totally using it for my coupons lol) made out of 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of.....DUCT TAPE! How cool is that?!?! :) we also used regular duct tapes to make the pleats such a fun teen party favor craft & it only took less than 10 min to create ;)

Last one is this pretty fab journaling/photo insert pocket thing-of-a-jig fr. Heidi Swapps new line! ;) I love the super adorbs sequined heart & mini neon tapes ;)

I'm so glad Heidi's back I've always been a fan of hers ;)

Bye Vegas!

Vegas was so much fun
I'm looking forward to my next visit already! ;)
On Friday I ate @ Ichiza which is an authentic Japanese restaurant & they serve dishes similarly sized to tapas.
My friend Jun who lives in Vegas took me & he ordered what I'd say was the most interesting quesadilla I've ever had ;)
It's a seafood quesadilla! It was quite tasty even though I don't usually eat anything raw. Everything we ordered was delicious & the presentations were beautiful I'd definitely recommend it ;)

On Saturday we ate brunch at Hash House a go go which you guys know is already one of my fave places to go in SD & they had a location inside the Imperial Palace as well ;) My BFFs brother ordered this massive burger stuffed with mash & bacon! Wowzers

We had a gelato at the Venetian & they had so many flavors that is so hard to find at chi town chicago gelato places it was hard to pick just one!

Cute Valentines Day Bag Toppers

My Bff's daughter is having a V-day party next week

and we are making treat bags for the kids

and I found a super cute critter "bag topper"

you can make using this Creatology Kit from Michaels :)

The animals & matching sentiments are so cute!

You can make 18 finished pieces out of 1 kit

The kit is $7.99 and is on sale this week for 40% off

 

I bought the glitter ribbon also from Michaels on sale for $1 

 I swear it made all the difference & added some bling factor of course :)

 

I just used a glue gun to adhere the glitter ribbon

& foam shapes to the clothespin.

On the packaging they are suppose to look like this:

For the frog I just added lil eyelashes

and drew the eyes differently (made them bigger more cartoony)

 

Here's the lil lion (she's my favorite)

I just added a lil red bow on her head

 

I didn't add anything to the monkey

 

I hope you guys liked them :)

CVS Polish finds

I don't have a fun mani to show you today but I do have some drugstore (CVS) polish to share!

I found these new Wet N Wild spring colors & when we went to CVS on Saturday they were 40% off $1.99 so I got them for $1.19 they had more colors but I just picked these up so I could use my extrabucks before it expired ;)

& last week Milani was on sale B1G1 1/2 off & I picked up these 3D holo glitter polish I saw someone that had them on & they looked really glittery BUT she said they come off just like normal polish ;)
I haven't tried them on yet but I'll let you guys know when I do ;)

Lastly...how CUTE are these "peeps" sally hansen nail polish strips?!?! It'll be perfect for Easter ;) The CVS here in CA is awesome they have a ton of new stuff out! The SH spring polish line has a lot of cute floral prints that'll be perfect for the toes ;)

CHA fr. iPhone

Hola! I can't even tell you how many times I tried to post

this entry from my phone & it just wouldn't load!

So I'm finally getting around to post some pics up from my iPhone

because I thought I packed my CF card reader but apparently not :(

These are some pics of my favorite creative creations I saw @ the show...

I was seriously amazed by this dress made out of paper

and a gabajillion beads

it's an ombre dress it's absolutely amazing

The lady who made the dress said it took her 6 months to create!

I'll have to look up the booth name for you later....

I also made THE MOST BEAUTIFUL make & take @ her booth

(& this pic really doesn't do it any justice!)

& this peacock display @ DCWV (who bought Blue Moon Beads)

was also stunning

They had 4 of these trees in different colors

all around their booth so pretty!!!!

I LOVED this tissue flower back ground idea from GCD

I might have to make one for an ivyPINK bday bash :)

or perhaps something like this...

It's made with paper plates!!! Isnt that so economically creative?!?

I also spotted some hedgie stuff :)

Love this line from Kaiser Crafts

and cricut had this cute woodland decor in their booth

The mobile & the drawers had a lil hedgie on it :) 

I thought this cupcake kit from quilled creations was so cute!!!

I want to make both of these!!!!

This CHA experience was so different from my previous CHA experiences,

because I've always gone to CHA when everything

is already all beautiful & ready for the buyers

But this time I was able to see the "behind the scenes"

of how much work goes in to building/prepping a booth

which was both interesting & fun!
