Book Challenge

I'm obsessed with reading young adult books!!! lol & it doesn't help that my good friend & awesome reliable source for a good read Jen is a librarian & pretty much also only reads young adult books ;)

Anyway I decided to challenge myself to read 30 books before I turn 30 which in October (gulp)
But, I feel like that's PLENTY of time to read 19 ish more books(?)
I'll have to really do a count soon so I can do a count down ;)
I'll start posting current reads & right now I'm starting a new series called Succubus & the author is Richelle Mead which wrote my other favorite series Vampire Academy ;) I'm excited to read more about this life sucking mean man hater ;)

So....from now until Oct. if you guys read or have read something that you found truly amazing & you consider a MUST read, PLEASE send the info my way I'm open to reading ANYTHING! ;)

DIY Coffee GC holder

I LOVE this Coffee Keeper stamp from Art Impressions

I made a step by step guide how to create a quick

gift card holder using this stamp

But first you'll need 3 pieces of paper cut in to these sizes

1 white cardstock in 6" x 3.50" and scored at 1"

 brown cardstock 5" x 3.50"

and another brown piece cut by 1" x 3.50"

just put that aside for now... :)

1. Stamp the cup (or just the lid) on a piece of white cardstock

2. Stamp the cup on a piece of patterned paper

3. Cut out just the cup part from the patterned paper

4. Stamp the sentiment/"cozy" on green cardstock

5. Cut out the sentiment & adhered on top of the patterned paper

6. Now you can adhere the cut out piece on top of your

brown 5" x 3.5" piece. Use your white card as a guide as to where

to place your card so when the 1" piece is folded the lid will line up.

6. Use an exacto knife and cut right above the end of your cup

(this is where you'll insert your gift card)

7. Run adhesive on the white piece of cardstock with your stamped lid

and cut it out

8. adhere the brown 1" x 3.50" on top of the 1" white  cardstock 

9. Adhere the lid on the brown cardstock lining it up with your cup

10. Insert your gift card and embellish :)

I just added a ribbon, some dew drops, and shaded the lid on my card

 Voila! the cutest lil gc holder :)

Wouldn't this be a fab surprise if you are giving a coffee gift card?!?!

Mani Monday PLL Inspired

Hi Hi Hi! This weeks mani was inspired by

Hanna's nails on Pretty Little Liars

The leopard print she has on is from the Sally Hansen Salon Effects

BUT I decided to stamp my leopard spots instead

 with the bundle monster 221 plate

I didn't do red though I wanted a springy bright color

The leopard print base is Rage by Orly

which is a pretty metallic rose gold color 

and the purple/fuchsia is Rich Raspberry from Revlon

Yesterday I went to see Hunger Games (LOVED it!!!!)

and I LOVED Effie's nails

did you see it? did you spot it?

I want to do a similar look...

maybe in a couple weeks :)

I did however put my hair up in Katniss Everdeen

 inspired braid yesterday

It was an easy peasy version of it anyway

St. Pattys Day Nails

I just wanted to share my St. Pattys Day

I really LOVE these holographic 3D polishes from Milani

I LOVE how it applies & I LOVE all the colors! 

These are the polishes I used....

The Revlon polish is in color Bonsai
I stamped the clover with Zoya HOLLY

and I used this nail stamping plate

Easy peasy!

Fun Crop

This weekend I went to one of  the most

amazing scrapbooking crops I've ever been to!

It's called Crop for a cause

Profits from the crop benefit the MS foundation

My friend Krista accompanied me to the event

and we when we walked in these huge bags filled with goodies

was placed on our table!

This crop had non stop food/treat action

throughout the whole crop (2:30-10:30)

coffee,cookies,dilly bars,chocolates,cake

including dinner pasta,chicken parm,salad,garlic bread

and there was a bargain bin, multiple auctions

(for amazing things like a private cubs day, hawks game,

a whole house for a weekend get away & of course scrapbooking stuff!)

I found out about this event from Simone

and also all thanks to her for my ticket!

I'm definitely looking to attending this event again next year ;)

In other news it's my grandmothers birthday is on Wednesday

and at the crop there was a "bargain bin" section

& I found a set of Material Girl papers by Cosmo cricket

I was inspired to make her a birthday card

from this set because my grandmothers profession

was a seamstress :)

I thought she'd love the "sew" themed card

Here's the card I made

 

I used my favorite birthday sentiment stamp set

from Stampin Up called Bring on the cake

Neat presents

I received the sweetest present in the mail today from my friend May from Australia!!!

I met know (we haven't met YET) lol May because she had purchased

something from me via Etsy & over the holidays she actually sent me a HUGE box

filled with all kinds of goodies & I took a video fr. my phone & lost the file somehow :(

BUT anyway May sent me this out of the blue & its just so adorable I had to share it

w/ you guys ;)

It's a flower button bouquet & the vase is covered

with some beautiful ribbon & lace & pearls!

How creative is that?!?

There was a business card included in the package

for this Etsy shop Rosa's Creations 

I didn't see any button bouquets in her shop right now but maybe it was

a custom order :)

ALSO I received another package & inside was this...

 

 It's a bookband strap with pen slots on the outside 

which I thought was a great idea!

I saw this at CHA & it reminded me of it :)

I thought it was a good idea because

just like my albums my SMASH book is about to burst

& I LOVE to use different color pens

So this bookband is the PERFECT smash book accessory
