This Christmas felt extra festive this year.
I use to think being a kid on Christmas was the best thing ever but it turns out
having a kid on Christmas is!
Seeing the joy in their eyes brings me more joy than I could have ever imagined.
Rein & I had so much fun turning Reinor in to Reinor Elf on the shelf
I'm pretty sure Rein & I had more fun than he did.

A couple weeks ago we celebrated my little love turning 6 months
I made a few crafts for photo props like this cute pom pom banner
I used the Don Juan Cricut font to cut out the alphas
I also made his shirt & this cute 1/2 birthday party hat using felt
and I cant forget about this..... my favorite little bow tie!!!
I found the fabric on Etsy
I used this no sew tutorial I found on YouTube
I was surprised how well it turned out actually.
It was super easy! I printed out this pattern & just shrunk it to 50%
Reins mom made Reinor the yummiest & cutest little hedgehog mocha cake
My little man is growing so fast!

Our love was baptized this past weekend
he was such a good boy & didn't cry or get fussy at all (phew!)
I just wanted to share some of the DIY things I made for his reception
Here is his Christening invitation
I used this spell binders die for the cross & I loved the embossed detail
the layers came out really nice but it was a pain to put pop up tape for each individual layer.
I also needed a table seating chart I found this board at Hobby Lobby for 90% off DEAL!!!!
I just repainted the design using acrylic paint & a sharpie metallic marker & Voila!
I was going to draw on the "chalk board" part of the board
BUT I tried 3 different types of chalk markers & real chalk & nothing would write on the board!
So, I did the next best thing & just cut it out on my cricut.
I liked how it turned out but I wish I could've drawn on it.
I didn't make his cake hahahhaha I don't have time for that LOL
for his centerpieces & table numbers I just bought a bunch of white flowers & arranged it myself
I bought some colored mason jars fr Michaels
& just cut out table numbers & embossed it to match his invitations
I also needed to decorate his christening bib
I wanted something classic so I just bought silver iron on vinyl
and made this simple design
That is pretty much everything I made for his baptism.
It is so hard to craft with this little guy!
I definitely take advantage when its nap time
he is so much more active these days :)

My sweet pea is almost 3 months!!!
He has truly been a joy & it's been amazing to watch him grow.
I'ts true what they say how proud you will feel when you are breastfeeding
& they tell you his weight & you think YESssss success!!!

I've had so much fun taking photos of Reinor,
He's been smiling a lot & is starting to giggle.
Finding hedgehog stuff has never been more fun because there's lots of hedgie stuff for babies!!!
I got this blanket custom made for him from Etsy.
The Hedgehog stuffed animal is from Land of Nod
Hedgehog blanket & kerchief from Milkbarn Kids we love their stuff it's incredibly soft
& washes really well & the color stays vibrant.
Baby GAP recently had A TON of hedgehog stuff...of course we bought it ALL!
Here he is reading mommy & his baby hedgie a story about hedgehogs of course.
I absolutely love & recommend this Vandring-The Hedgehog baby book.
We got this book as a gift & I LOVE the story & illustrations in it.
This book was also my inspiration for Reinor's woodland baby shower invitations
If you spot hedgehog stuff for baby boys let me know LOLOLOLOL

My little lovebug is 1 MONTH already?!?
That was fast!
I wanted to make him a chalkboard monthly milestone so I worked on it while he napped.
I bought the chalkboard at Hobby Lobby they had a 50% sale
so I got it for only $3.99 & just painted the edge white.
I used Marvy Uchidas Bistro markers as well as regular chalk to decorate the board.
As for his outfit I wanted him to wear suspenders I searched EVERY store that carried childrens clothing by my house & nada! This onesie from Target was the best I could find so I just sewed him a matching bow tie instead.
Voila first month milestone pic! ;)
I also bought him cake but he was too passed out to eat it lololol
So mommy & daddy ate it instead lol ;)

Its 3am my new favorite time to be up
Because its usually the time I'm up nursing the new love of my life!
On February 16 my precious bundle of joy arrived weighing in at 7 lbs 4 oz & 21 in
Meet Reinor.
I can't even believe how quickly hes growing!
Just this morning I had to switch his diapers to a size 1 already!
Reinor came a couple days earlier than my expected due date which was 2/18
On V-day Rein & I went out to dinner we came home around 9pm & shortly after I started feeling weird....around 11 I started to time the pain & thats when I realized OMFG Im having contractions! It was about an hour or so apart. I tried to sleep it off but yeah its kinda hard to do when you are in pain! I woke up at 4:30am took a shower, did some laundry, Rein woke up & was like whats going on?
I told him todays the day! I called the hospital when I was 15 min apart & they told me I had to wait to come in til I was 5 min apart for 1 hour long. When I really couldn't take the pain anymore we went in it was around 4pm 2/15 I was already 4cm dilated.
They had issues finding my veins (story of my life tiny veins problems) & getting the anesthesiologist out of a C section by this time my water also broke while I was in the labor bed. Long story short & 2 hours later by the time they gave me the epidural I was already 7cm & screaming bloody murder in pain!
We waited....and waited til I was 10cm dilated before I started pushing which wasn't til 11:58pm & Reinor came out at 12:53am.
That's my birth story ;)
Moral of the story....Get that epidural
earlier!!! hahaha

What a crazy year 2013 has been...
LOTS of firsts for me this year.....
*1st time in NOLA to celebrate all of us turning 30 was the best BFF vaca ever! (besides our Euro trip of course)
*For being a Chicagoan for 22 years, this was the first year I've gone to a cubs game & set foot at Wrigley Field it was also the same day I got an offer for my new job.
*FIRST.TIME.IN.DISNEYLAND gah! It was my favorite!!!
*First time pulling off a birthday present hunt surprise! (YES I blew all those balloons up by mouth!)
*First time in SeaWorld San Diego...lol this was my fave pic from that trip, Rein HATES Roller coasters & I pleaded him to ride this one with me & our friends caught this pic of him holding on for dear life it was awesome! (Yes, I know I'm evil...insert evil laugh ___here___)
*FIRST TIME CHERRY PICKING!!!! It was fun....BUT prob wouldn't do it again. I realized I was too much of an anal person cuz after 3 hours of cherry picking I only had a bag of cherries to show for it I'd rather just buy it from Costco! heehee
*First Chicago Gourmet experience! I was so FULL I thought I was going to burst! Definitely worth attending again :) Thank You so much Jolynn & John for bringing me with!
*Gah I've dying to see Wicked ever since it first came out in 2003 I don't know why I hadn't seen it yet but all thanks to my super sweetie pie I FINALLY got to see it this year & it's even more special because I got to see it with him!
Last but not least......the most EPIC first..... I got ENGAGED! It's seriously a dream come true & the wedding planing has not stopped since. Who knew there was so much stuff that happens after you get engaged?!? I'm not complaining. I'm savoring each moment & having an extremely helpful fiance definitely helps keep me sane.
I have so much to look forward to this coming 2014 it's a HUGE year for Rein & I
I'm not sure if I've announced it on here yet but we're getting married

I told you guys I'd let you know what I thought about
Scrapbook Manor when I got back
& I have to say that it's my FAVE
scrapbook weekend get away so far!
The rooms we're spacious & the beds we're soft
the bathrooms (3 to be exact) were filled with multiple
(pretty good brands) of lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash & soap options
(I know not to pack any of those for next time)
The whole house smelled great & was spotlessly clean!
The food was yummy
my faves we're the cheese & broc quiche & french toast
(why don't I have a picture of these? *sorry!)
Karen has a machine for everything you can think of
a soda machine, a soft serve ice cream machine,
a hot chocolate or french vanilla cap machine, a popcorn machine
I mean this place has everything you could possible need! :)
The tables we're spacious & PLENTY of great lighting!
My favorite part about this weekend besides spending
time with my cousin & aunt....
is meeting 2 new scrappy friends Tara & Shaunte :)
Overall I would DEFINITELY go back to the Scrapbook Manor
such a perfect weekend retreat :)
Back to the grind & it is *HOT* T O D A Y! ! !
I went to mail some packages & pick up a couple things &
had to go home right away & shower cuz I felt sticky already!
I hope it cools down later in the evening I'm going out to my 1st
Karaoke Bar tonight! I'm so excited lol :)

Officially it's MONDAY already as I'm typing this
but earlier today we celebrated my 29th BIRTHDAY!
29?!? FOR REALS?!? :(
I have to say that this is one of the most low key birthdays
I've had in a LONG LONG time & it was GREAT!
I went to church this morning
(Me & my cousin Abigail waiting in front of the tree outside church
we ALWAYS wait for our family to re-group by this tree)
& I went out to lunch w/ my mom,
cousin,god father & grandma
*my dad is out of town this weekend
It was his birthday also the 22nd :(
We ate @ Bob Chinns
I ordered the King Crab Tacos
(it came w/ 2 tacos & I ordered 1 steamed & 1 fried)
This meal was only $19.99 & it also came with a bowl of soup
I ordered the GUMBO (which is one of my faves)
a 16 oz Mai Tai a specialty drink @ Bob Chinns!
and dessert (Flan) Freaking DEAL!!!!
& they sang me Happy Birthday & brought me a pumpkin pie
After lunch I walked next door to

On the way home my grandmother wanted to stop by ROSS
they opened a TON of stores in IL FINALLY!
I always go to ROSS whenever I go to CA or TX
I'm sooooo happy there's finally one 6 min from my house :)
BOY am I glad we stopped by look at what I found
